If you're reading this post, congratulations! You're a part of Passenger Poldberg history right now. I would like to start by saying thank you to each and every person that visits my site. My goal in creating this site isn't to glamorize my lifestyle; I'll be the first to tell you that I spend the majority of my days at a desk, in front of a computer, just like everybody else. It wasn't until I stumbled upon One Mile at a Time one day at work that I decided to start my own miles and points journey.
Traveling across the globe has always been this elusive goal of mine. As a kid I always looked forward to visiting my dad at spring training. It was the one time each year I felt that overwhelming anticipation that comes with going to the airport. I think its one of the best feelings in the entire world.
One day at work, I stumbled upon a Rolling Stones article about Mr. Ben Schlappig. Ben's stories of his extravagant first class lifestyle opened my eyes to the amazing world of miles and points and I haven't looked back since.
The vast majority of new college graduates don't have the time or the money to live in first class cabins and five-star hotels. We work 40 hours a week, we live with our parents, we have student loan debt looming over us, and frankly we barley have enough left over to grab a couple cocktails on the weekend.
I started Passenger Poldberg to hopefully show everyone that you can balance a full-time job, student loan payments, a tight budget, and still have an opportunity to visit your favorite destinations in the world. So strap on your seat belts boys and girls, its time to for takeoff!
