First Impressions of the UAE

I'm currently finishing up my week long trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Before I catch my flight home, I just wanted to share some of my initial thoughts on these two cities. First and foremost, Elizabeth and I have had a great time. We got to do some sight seeing in Dubai and got some much needed rest and relaxation in Abu Dhabi.

For the most part, I was a little underwhelmed with Dubai. I'd read so much about the city prior to visiting that I'd thought it up to be one of the world's best. While the skyscrapers are tall and the malls are gigantic, it still has a long way to go to be considered one of the greats.

Abu Dhabi on the other hand felt much more laid back. Aside from a couple trips to the Emirates Palace and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Elizabeth and I spent the rest of our time enjoying the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi. This little oasis in the desert was the perfect change of pace from the busy streets of Dubai.

All-In-All

The UAE is one of those places you've just got to come experience for yourself. Everyone's opinion is going to differ, but that's what makes this world great. In the end, my complaints were relatively minor and I enjoyed my trip. I'm going to have a TON of content coming your way in the next few weeks so make sure to follow along!
