When Qatar Airways revealed their new business class cabin last year, it was only a matter of time before they were officially awarded the title of "World's Best Business Class." Outfitted with their fully enclosed "Qsuite", double beds, and "The Quad", it's no wonder Qatar Airways has adopted the motto "First in Business".
Well I can finally announce that I'll get a chance to experience Qatar's famous Qsuite for myself later this fall! As a part of our trip to Europe (more details to come), Elizabeth and I will be flying one of Qatar's reconfigured 777's from Doha (DOH) to Chicago (ORD). I don't think I've been this excited about an award ticket since I booked my flight in Etihad's First Class Apartment.
For a one way ticket between the US and Middle East, Elizabeth and I each redeemed 70,000 AAdvantage miles and only paid $39 in taxes and fees. Just out of curiosity I checked Google Flights and business class fares for our flight were going for over $4,500 each way!
Since we're flying out of Doha we also get a chance to visit Qatar's Al Mourjan Business Class Lounge. The 32,000 sq. foot lounge offers a full service bar and has both buffet and a la' carte dining options available. Based on the reviews I've read, it sounds like it's quite the space.
It's still hard to believe that Qatar's new Qsuites are still considered business class. For only 70,000 AAdvantage miles from the US to the Middle East, this is one of the best award redemptions available. I'm stoked to give the famous Qsuite a try for myself!
What do you think of Qatar's new Qsuites? Have you flown them?
