Travel Tools: AwardWallet

I think a lot of people get deterred from collecting miles and points because they don't realize how much work is truly involved. It can become quite the balancing act when you're trying to manage thousands of miles/points across a handful of different loyalty programs. Well thanks to AwardWallet, that balancing act just got a heck of a lot easier.

AwardWallet is an online tool that allows you track 672 of the world's most popular loyalty programs all in one place. It gives you up-to-date information on your status, points balances, expiration dates, and most importantly, your PASSWORDS! I swear there's nothing more difficult than trying to keep track of usernames and passwords for over 20 different accounts.

AwardWallet offers two account types: AwardWallet Free and AwardWallet Plus. Obviously AwardWallet Free is free, but it only costs $30 a year to upgrade to AwardWallet Plus. I actually just upgraded my account to AwardWallet Plus this year, but I used the free version for a couple of years prior to that. Here's a side by side comparison of the two:

In addition to tracking all of your account information, AwardWallet can also track all of your upcoming flights and hotel stays. It includes information about your airline, flight number, airports, departure/arrival times, seat number, and confirmation number.

For hotel stays it shows the hotel, check-in/check-out times, nights, and confirmation number.

You may have already noticed it from my screen shots above, but you can also add family and friends (or a girlfriend in my case) to your account. I think it's safe to say that most people who are obsessed with miles and points probably end up tracking them for a handful of people other than themselves.

AwardWallet is a fantastic tool for tracking all of your loyalty programs in one convenient location. Even if you're not managing a trillion points or a ton of accounts, it's nice to have a place with all of your usernames and passwords stored for you. I strongly recommend signing up for the free version and who knows, you may end up upgrading like me.
